Granules India Limited, a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company headquartered in India, has acquired Senn Chemicals AG, a Swiss-based Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in peptide synthesis and manufacturing. The acquisition was completed through Granules’ wholly owned subsidiary, Granules Peptides Private Limited.
Senn Chemicals, based in Dielsdorf, Switzerland, brings over 60 years of expertise in peptide therapeutics, with capabilities in Liquid-Phase and Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (LPPS and SPPS). The acquisition marks Granules' strategic entry into the fast-growing peptide API and CDMO segments and extends its scientific and development capabilities into next-generation therapeutic areas, including GLP-1 receptor agonists used in anti-diabetic and anti-obesity drugs.
The acquisition also significantly expands Granules’ footprint in Europe and strengthens its access to regulated markets and specialized talent.
