Dutch private equity firm Nederlands MerkGoed has acquired Mistral from its existing shareholders. Mistral is an international water sports brand for surfing products such as surfboards and SUP boards. The company is active on four continents and more than 10 countries. The brand employs around 60 people and achieved revenue of around €80 million in 2021, including licensed sales. With the acquisition of Mistral, Nederlands MerkGoed will play an active role in guiding Mistral to accelerate its international growth.
