Sligro Food Group Nederland B.V., part of the listed Sligro Food Group N.V., has acquired GEPU Beheer B.V., a well-established regional foodservice wholesaler based in Utrecht. GEPU is known for its strong customer base in the hospitality and catering sector in and around Utrecht, operating a hybrid model combining delivery, cash-and-carry, and pick-up options.
Founded 50 years ago, GEPU has become a local household name with a distinctive assortment, including a strong focus on Mediterranean products. With around 40 employees (35 FTE), the company expects to generate approximately โฌ15 million in revenue in 2025.
The acquisition strengthens Sligroโs presence in the Utrecht metropolitan area and fits within its broader network strategy. GEPUโs operations will gradually be integrated over 2025. Delivery services will shift to Sligroโs distribution centre in Vianen, while customers will gain access to the Sligro network of self-service locations, including Utrecht and Nieuwegein.
