Milton-based life sciences marketing communications agency, BioStrata, has been acquired by Supreme Group, a platform dedicated to offering business and commercialization services to life science and healthcare companies. Supreme Group is backed by the Dallas-based private equity firm, Trinity Hunt Partners, which manages over $2 billion in assets. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Supreme Group's growth, solidifying its position as a key player in the life sciences sector.
BioStrata, an award-winning marketing agency, specializes in integrated communication services for the life sciences industry. Founded in 2014, the agency has assisted over 200 life science organizations across diverse sectors, including biotechnology, diagnostics, lab automation, and drug discovery. BioStrata's expertise spans across strategy, branding, content creation, digital marketing, and public relations, making it a vital asset to Supreme Group's expanding portfolio of services.
In light of the acquisition, BioStrata will retain its leadership and continue to operate under its established brand name. Co-founder and Managing Director, Clare Russell, will take on the role of President within BioStrata, while co-founder and CEO, Paul Avery, will assume the position of Vice President of Marketing for Supreme Group. Despite the ownership change, BioStrata will maintain its autonomy as a standalone entity within Supreme, ensuring continuity for its clients and team.
"Joining Supreme Group opens up exciting new possibilities for BioStrata, our clients, and our team,” said Clare Russell. “This partnership strengthens our position in the life science marketing landscape and enhances our service offering with specialized digital expertise. It also brings new growth opportunities for our talented team."
Supreme Group’s CEO, Tom Donnelly, echoed Russell’s sentiments, expressing confidence that the acquisition will enhance the company’s ability to meet the diverse needs of life science companies. “BioStrata’s integrated communications and marketing expertise will enable us to broaden our client base and further expand our footprint in the UK and Europe,” said Donnelly.
For Supreme Group, the addition of BioStrata follows previous acquisitions of specialized agencies like Supreme Optimization, Clarity Quest, and Health+Commerce. These acquisitions are part of a broader strategy, supported by Trinity Hunt, to create a world-class marketing and communications platform catering specifically to the life science and healthcare sectors.
The deal was facilitated by Fabric Business Solutions, with a team led by Tim O'Connor and Mark Stroud acting as exclusive advisors to BioStrata throughout the acquisition process.
As the life sciences sector continues to grow and evolve, BioStrata’s integration into Supreme Group is expected to bring valuable resources to the industry while preserving the agency’s unique culture and identity. The partnership also promises new strategic opportunities, particularly in digital marketing and commercialization strategies for life sciences companies, as both entities work together to drive innovation in the space.
