Airtech Advanced Materials Group, a global leader in high-performance materials, has acquired Cosmotec Nonwovens, a UK-based producer of needle-punch and air-bonded nonwoven textiles. The acquisition enhances Airtech’s manufacturing base in Europe and supports its continued growth across key sectors including aerospace, composites, automotive, and defence.
Cosmotec, operating from an eight-acre facility in Blackburn—at the heart of the UK’s textile manufacturing heritage—specialises in bespoke, niche nonwoven products for the geotextiles, filtration, construction, and automotive sectors. The company is known for its technical expertise, short lead times, and flexible production.
Strategic International Transaction
The transaction was advised by Headpoint Advisors, who supported Cosmotec’s Swiss-based parent company, Cha Technologies Group—a global conglomerate with interests in textiles, technology, property, financial services, and healthcare.
