Story:
During September, PingProperties acquired Stadshart Oost, located in the city center of Zoetermeer, to its portfolio on behalf of Daily Convenience Center IV. Stadshart Oost is an inner-city mixed-use asset with 27,500 m² retail space, 831 shared parking spaces in four parking garages and 48 apartments. It also offers the possibility of developing a residential tower.

Stadshart Zoetermeer has a long history and an excellent reputation in the catchment area. With over 10 million visitors yearly, Stadshart Zoetermeer is the largest and most important shopping complex in the city. It offers a mix of non-daily shops, supermarkets, restaurants, offices and housing.

With the purchase of Stadshart Oost, PingProperties is further expanding its convenience retail portfolio. PingProperties believes in the power of (neighborhood) shopping centers where value can be added through active management and personal attention for retailers. “The opportunities that the shopping center offers in combination with the strong catchment area of Zoetermeer make a repositioning to a lively convenience center a great challenge for our team,” says Luc Baas, Fund Manager of PingProperties.
